How To Join
If you are interested in joining the orchestra please email us. We do not operate formal auditions as we favour orchestral trials. Most of players are grade eight standard or have equivalent orchestral experience. As a guide:
Strings: We are actively seeking viola players and double basses but have vacancies across the sections.
Woodwind: We have no vacancies but if you would like to join the waiting list please get in touch. Please note our current woodwind section is diploma standard.
Brass and others: We are keen to hear from all brass players. Percussionists, harpists or keyboard players are also welcome to get in touch.
Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights 7.30-9.30 during the school term. We currently rehearse at Abbey Grange School. The address is Butcher Hill, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS16 5EA . To view this on a map, please see Map.
